Greater Manchester is preparing to attend UKREiiF 2025, taking up residence in The Canary alongside Opportunity London. This year, all 10 of Greater Manchester's local authorities will be joining our delegation to present Greater Manchester's growth ambitions.
Ahead of UKREiiF 2025, The Manchester Invest Partnership is pleased to announce that all 10 Greater Manchester local authorities will be joining forces to share the region’s ambitious new plan for Growth.
Using its devolved powers, Greater Manchester has announced it will pioneer a new way of delivering tens of thousands of new homes and jobs. Targeting six Growth Locations – nationally significant sites with massive potential to deliver economic growth across all 10 boroughs – this plan will allow us to deliver regeneration projects at the scale of the Old Trafford Regeneration Scheme and deliver benefits across the whole of Greater Manchester.
Each location has land earmarked and shovel-ready for the creation of new housing and employment sites and has the potential unlock 48,000 new jobs, 17,000 new homes, and add £4.2 billion to the local economy.
The new, place-based approach will bring together the whole GM system, to unlock land and create an integrated investment pipeline that will support infrastructure, housing, commercial opportunities and more.
To support this growth ambition and drive the investment needed Greater Manchester has prepared an investment prospectus, showcasing the region’s pipeline of opportunity which will form the basis of conversations at UKREiiF.
Having all 10 local authorities as part of the delegation will demonstrate the strength of collaboration across our region. With the new growth locations and opportunities crossing borough borders, our region is showing that it is stronger together and has infinite potential when not restricted by geographical boundaries.
It is Greater Manchester’s ambition that the benefits of economic success are felt across the city-region.
Alongside our strategic partners Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Manchester City Council, we’ll be joined at UKREiiF by Bolton Council, Bury Council, Oldham Council, Rochdale Development Agency, Salford City Council, Stockport Council, Tameside Council, Trafford Council and Wigan Council.
Investors, developers and private sector partners will be able to meet with leaders and placemakers from these local authorities at The Canary, a stand which Manchester will share with Opportunity London.
Leaders from local authorities will also have the opportunity to share their thoughts, expertise and opportunities on various panel sessions at UKREiiF, covering topics that will be crucial to Greater Manchester’s growth ambitions.
