Civic Engineers is proud to have joined the Manchester Invest Partnership and to support its year-round place promotion activity of Greater Manchester.
With collaboration at its heart, the Manchester Invest Partnership brings together private and public sector partners from across the city-region to present a strong vision for the future, and promote Greater Manchester nationally and internationally as a landmark destination for investment.
Building on its commitment to creating spaces, structures and neighbourhoods that have a positive impact on the environment and improve people’s quality of life, the practice looks forward to supporting the partnership in the run up to MIPIM 2024. Taking place in Cannes from Tuesday 12 to Friday 15 March, MIPIM is the world’s leading property market.
A Civic Engineers team, including CEO Stephen O’Malley and director of communications and culture Katrina Davis, will be attending MIPIM and sharing insights on how we can an create an urban and natural environment that is fit for the future, and Andrew Ruck, director in Civic Engineers’ London studio, will also be taking part in Club Peloton's Cycle to MIPIM event. On Wednesday, 13th March, the team will be speaking at The Manchester Stand on the topic of 'Greener Manchester - as the city becomes a pioneer for urban greening, what value stands to be unlocked?'
Commenting on the partnership, Stephen said:
“Engagement and collaboration is central to everything we do and vital in addressing some of the challenges we face as a society today, so we’re proud to join the Manchester Invest Partnership and champion the city-region.
“Greater Manchester is a pioneer for driving improvements across communities and the built environment. There are so many world-class projects to shout about, from Mayfield Park – the city’s first public park in over a century and a brilliant example of retrofit and nature-based solutions - to Eden New Bailey, one of the most sustainable office buildings in the UK with the largest green wall in Europe.
“It’s important we share our insights from these industry-shaping examples and learn from other best practice at forums such as MIPIM, and we look forward to what this year’s programme has in store.”
