Residential property developer and investor Views announces the appointment of former FTSE 250 CEO and CFO David Ritchie as its first non-executive director to support the growth of the housebuilding arm of the company.
During his 15-year tenure as CEO and CFO at the FTSE 250 listed Bovis Homes Group PLC (now Vistry Group PLC), David led the business through significant expansion and operational transformation. He is a founding shareholder and chairman of Aspire Group, a fast-growing care home developer, and until late last year, he spent six years as chief executive at MMC housing business WELink Homes, where he remains a senior advisor.
A qualified accountant who trained at KPMG before joining Bovis Homes in 1998, David brings his in-depth knowledge, capability and strong leadership experience to Views as the company continues to scale its housebuilding operations.
David Ritchie said: “Joining Views as a non-executive director at such an important stage in the company’s growth journey is an exciting opportunity. The business has established strong momentum and clear ambition, and as it scales, disciplined oversight and robust governance will be essential. I look forward to supporting the board and executive team as they strengthen their housebuilding business for long-term growth.”
The key new appointment strengthens Views senior leadership team, headed by co-CEOs Shoaib Muhammad and Shujaat Rasool, as the company progresses the delivery of 300 homes across Greater Manchester over the next three years.
Shujaat Rasool said: “Over the past year we have strengthened our operational capability and progressed on key sites in our pipeline. As we move into the next phase of growth, it is important our governance evolves alongside the business. David’s experience in scaling residential platforms brings valuable perspective at board level as we continue to grow with discipline.”
Next month, Views will complete homes at Empress Court – nine, three-bedroom townhouses - at Heaton Norris, Stockport and plans to commence construction on 66 new homes at Broad Hill Gardens, the former Burnage Cricket Club, Manchester.
Views operates an active investment platform, having deployed £10.05m since Q4 2025, with £7.38m of acquisitions currently in legals and a plan to deploy a further £92.57m into residential-led opportunities by Q4 2027.
