We are delighted to give the Manchester at MIPIM Partnership a first look at the full 2020 events programme, which has been added to the Manchester at MIPIM website today.
Our partners are essential in shaping what is largely considered one of the best events programmes at MIPIM, and we would like to thank everyone who submitted event ideas. We’re sure you will agree that it’s another very strong programme packed with timely and topical sessions linked to our overarching theme Everything is Connected.
In addition to our own events programme we’re delighted to be supporting The Northern Powerhouse at MIPIM. The Northern Powerhouse, in association with NP11, which comprises 11 Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) from across the North of England, has events planned throughout the four-day MIPIM conference and several sessions include speakers and panellists from the Manchester at MIPIM Partnership. We would encourage all Manchester at MIPIM delegates to consider attending their events if possible. Further details about the programme are available here.
Coronavirus notice
We’ve received a number of enquiries from partners about the potential impact that COVID-19, also known as coronavirus may have on MIPIM 2020. Organisers Reed Midem have been monitoring the situation closely and are in frequent communication with relevant professional bodies including the World Health Organisation, City of Cannes, Cannes airport and the hotel network.
The health and wellbeing of delegates is the number one priority at MIPIM and there is every confidence that the event can and will run as scheduled with additional procedures to support delegates. Please read this important notice on the MIPIM website.
Delegate registration
We’re pleased to say that the Manchester at MIPIM Partnership is now confirmed at 95 organisations and over 200 delegates will be joining us in Cannes.
All registrations have now been processed and you can access the full Manchester at MIPIM delegate list here.
By now you should also have received an email granting you access to the official MIPIM database at mipim.com, containing details of all 26,000+ delegates attending. If you have not received this email, please click here to reset your password.
There is still time to register additional delegates before the rate goes up on the 1st March. Should you wish to do so or if you have any questions surrounding your registration, please contact lucy.hill@marketingmanchester.com.
Delegate passes
Reed Midem have now started the process of posting out delegate passes. If you have been to MIPIM before or uploaded your photo to your online MIPIM profile before 6 February, you should expect to receive your pass in the post. If you do not receive your pass in the post, you will receive an email with an e-ticket which can be used to collect your pass on site.
The Manchester Café
Thank you to all partners that have pre-booked meeting space at MIPIM 2020. The Manchester Café is a fantastic place to meet; however, it is a busy area so please make sure that you book ahead where possible to reserve a table and avoid disappointment. The form to book is available by logging into the partner area on the Manchester at MIPIM website here.
Manchester Dinner and opening drinks invitations
Thanks to the comprehensive facilities of the venue, the Partnership will again be hosting the popular Manchester dinners at the Pavilion on Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 March.
These dinners, which are kindly sponsored by Manchester International Festival and The Factory and Shoosmiths and DeTrafford respectively, will allow guests the opportunity to reflect on the events held earlier that day, to network, and to share thoughts and ideas. Invitations have now been issued and include details on how to RSVP which should be completed by Friday 21 February.
If you arrive in Cannes on Monday 9 March, please join us at our opening drinks reception which will be held on the Manchester Pavilion 18:00-20:00. As the conference does not officially open until Tuesday 10 March it is essential to RSVP for the drinks reception here.
Promoting the Manchester events programme
As you know, the success of Manchester at MIPIM is wholly dependent on the strength and diversity of the Partnership, and one way that you can help generate more interest is to promote your involvement with the Manchester at MIPIM Partnership within peer groups.
With the programme launched, now is a good time to signal your attendance as part of the Manchester at MIPIM Partnership and let others know which events you are most looking forward to attending or being part of.

The Mayfield Partnership sponsorship on the Manchester Pavilion
We had a fantastic response in terms of booking the private events space on the Manchester Pavilion and we would like to thank all those that have taken advantage of the opportunity. We now have a full programme of events taking place that complements the programme on the main stage.
Earlier in the year we asked partners for their ideas on bespoke sponsorship packages to optimise the space afforded by the Manchester Pavilion. We are delighted to announce that The Mayfield Partnership took advantage of this opportunity and has chosen to sponsor an area within the Manchester Pavilion to enhance their profile at MIPIM.
