Partner Update #4

Dear Partner,

Firstly, a warm welcome to 2020 from all of us on the Manchester at MIPIM team. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year break and have returned fully rejuvenated for the busy year ahead.

This is our fourth Manchester at MIPIM update, and with just two months to go we’re now well into finalising logistics as we focus on getting the final programme into shape ahead of the launch in mid-February - see details below.

In this update we have included information about:

  • delegate registration and Manchester delegate list 2020
  • travel packages;
  • the Manchester at MIPIM programme launch;
  • opportunities across our digital platforms;
  • and how to make the most of your time at MIPIM by booking a meeting or private event space on the Manchester Pavilion.

This, and all previous partner updates are located in the partner area for easy reference.

Thank you once again for supporting the Manchester at MIPIM 2020 Partnership. If you have any questions or need any assistance, please do not hesitate to follow up with the team.

Delegate logistics

Delegate registration

If you have not already done so, please register your delegates for a delegate pass via the partner area of the Manchester at MIPIM website. This year you need to complete an online form which has taken the place of the subsidiary contract. The form must be completed by Friday 31 January. Please note any additional delegate passes outside of your package entitlement are priced at £1400 + VAT.

Additional charges will apply if deadline is not met as Reed Midem increase the cost of delegate passes.

You also still have the opportunity to register a delegate from your organisation for a Next Generation Leaders delegate pass. This pass is restricted to one per company, the delegate must be 35 years old or younger and a first-time attendee at MIPIM. The discounted price of the delegate is £610 + VAT.

Once registered, your details will be passed to Reed MIDEM for processing. When this is complete, your delegates will be able to access the official MIPIM database at mipim.com, containing details of all 26,000+ delegates attending MIPIM. An email containing log in details will be sent directly from Reed MIDEM, so please allow time for this to be processed.

If you have any questions regarding your registration, please contact lucy.hill@marketingmanchester.com.

Private Event Space

Thank you to all partners that have supported the private event space at MIPIM 2020.

We are always looking at ways to support and enhance your profile at MIPIM and being a large space, the Manchester Pavilion has a number of different areas that can be used for private events. If you have any ideas, wish to sponsor elements of the programme or wish to explore ways to utilise the space available please get in touch as we are always open to new ideas.

To discuss any ideas or suggestions please contact Richard.Fowler@marketingmanchester.com.

Travel Package

For those of you taking advantage of the Manchester Flight, there are a small number of places still available on the Manchester at MIPIM Coach Transfer. The cost is £100pp + VAT and includes return coach transfer from Nice Airport to central Cannes.

Please click here to access the form.

Making the most of MIPIM 2020

Guest blogs and films

This year we will once again be undertaking an extensive marketing campaign in the run-up to, and during MIPIM. Our digital campaign in 2019 generated 1.7 million impressions on Twitter and delivered over 47,500 page views to the Manchester at MIPIM website.

As part of this activity we are looking for several quality interviews with partners, looking at your business, why you chose to become partners of the Manchester at MIPIM delegation, and looking generally at the property industry. We are particularly keen to speak to any partners who decide to take up the Next Generation Leaders’ Delegate Pass and to speak to any young people who will be attending MIPIM for the first time.

In our first interview Barry Roberts, Managing Director at Morgan Sindall Construction North West shared his views on Manchester and spoke about some of the exciting schemes the company has in the pipeline. Watch it here.

In our second interview we spoke to Rebecca Heron, Director of Economy and Skills at Wigan Council on why Wigan is joining the Manchester at MIPIM Partnership for the first time in 2020 and her thoughts on the Next Generation Leaders’ Delegate Pass amongst other things. Read it here.

Assets to promote your attendance at MIPIM

As you know, the success of Manchester at MIPIM is wholly dependent on the strength and diversity of the Partnership, and one way that you can help generate more interest is to promote your involvement with the Manchester at MIPIM Partnership within peer groups.

To help you to with this we have created a pack of assets – including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram images, as well as web banners and email footers – that you can download and use freely to show that you are part of the Partnership.

Please click here to download the Partner pack and start shouting about MIPIM on social media. Remember to tag @mcrMIPIM and we’ll share your posts.

And finally...

The Manchester at MIPIM programme launch

As in previous years, following a full assessment of all submissions and discussions with Manchester City Council, we are aiming to launch the Manchester at MIPIM programme in mid-February.

As a Partner you will be the first to see the finalised programme before it goes to live with our media partners. Further details will follow in next month’s update.
